A Travel Authorization is required to travel to Jamaica. The travel authorization should be applied for 5 days or less prior to travel.

All persons 12 years and older entering Jamaica are required to present a negative PCR or Antigen COVID-19 test result at flight check-in. The date of the sample collection must be within 3 days of the date of travel. Detailed information on tests are also required.

The tests must be done by a medical laboratory that has a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) registration, and an ISO 15189 certification.

The negative test result, as well as the Travel Authorization, are to be presented to the airline at check-in and on arrival in Jamaica.

For express services inside the airport, you can book VIP fast-track service with Club Kingston or Club MoBay (at a fee). Your VIP agent will guide you through the airport and escort you to your driver (transportation booked separately – not available via Club Kingston or Club Mo Bay). Windjammer Limited can assist you to book the vehicle rental through Budget Car Rental, as well as airport transfers.

The compulsory fee will be included as part of the Travel Authorization application, triggering automatic participation in the Jamaica Cares program. Participation is mandatory for all non-Jamaican passport holders.

Jamaica Cares provides visitors access to compulsory traveler protection and emergency medical services, including:

  • Case management, transport logistics, field rescue, evacuation, and repatriation for medical emergencies, including COVID-19 and other crises up to and including natural disasters.
  • International health coverage for visitors traveling to and from Jamaica.
  • On-island health coverage.

They may, however, leave the villa to visit any tourist attraction, that is certified by the Jamaica Tourist Board to be a COVID-19 Resilient licensed tourist attraction located within the Resilient Corridor.

Split stays within the Resilient Corridors are permitted.
